The look Seamus shot Susan when she mentioned Dean's new studio companion was intended to be merely exasperated. Dean had mentioned her all of one time, it wasn't as if... But then he caught the way Dean bit his lip, the way he smiled, and Seamus's eyes narrowed. He hadn't been Dean's friend since they were eleven without learning to recognise that look. It was the way he'd looked in sixth year whenever anyone brought up Ginny Weasley. Seamus's expression went fiercer and he glared at Susan. Only because the way she was right all the time was bloody annoying.
Once she'd gone, he rubbed his free hand across his face and nodded at Dean. "We're going to totally win that bet," he informed him, now more determined than ever. "Today." The 'crack' of his apparition was slightly louder than normal.
Back in his own flat, he set the lemon cookies down on the table and grabbed for another brownie. Dean had said 'as soon as possible' after all. Once he appeared, Seamus offered it to him. He contemplated feeding it to him but with his luck that would be more messy than affectionate and just make Susan laugh at them. Once Dean's fingers had closed around the treat, Seamus smiled. "Save me a seat, handsome. I'm going to make Susan her drink. You want anything?"
