Theo nodded, not sure if that was right anymore but mostly because those years were a messy blur to him. He noticed the frown and the tension that seemed to come over Dominic on this topic, that as much a survival instinct that he'd had to pick up as a child as it was a product of his later experiences. He knew he should move the conversation away from that topic but he felt so bad at this, when before it had been as easy as any other game to him. Okay, so he was more honest now, but having social skills had been helpful.
