Roger stopped himself short of physically sighing, letting the topic drop. Unrequited feelings were difficult, but unrequited feelings for someone after years of friendship, was worse. It's not like Roger had planned to fall for Marcus, everything had been fine until a moment in bed with one-night stand had when Roger had started to moan Marcus' name. Luckily, the other man's name had been Martyn, so he'd been able to rectify the matter. Ever since that moment though, he'd been unable to deny his feelings. The worst thing of course was the fact that he couldn't stay away, figuring that if he couldn't be with Marcus, at least he could be close to him.
He couldn't help it, he threw back his head and laughed. "Well no one's ever accused her of being completely professional I suppose," he said, still chuckling. "I noticed you left very quickly I might add, you missed me having to run after Podd naked to get my underwear back."
"You're welcome," he replied quietly, turning his head to hide his blush. "You're just- I- Well, yeah," he finished lamely. He cringed internally at his apparent ability to epitomise the antithesis of smoothness. "I suppose I am," he replied with a careless shrug.
He snorted in disgust. "Moran is more like moron sometimes, if we're being completely honest." He stood up, and looked down at Marcus enquiringly. "I'm getting another drink, can I tempt you?"
