Roger watched Marcus flush at his very genuine compliment, and felt his stomach do a small somersault as a result. He smiled warmly and passed one of the butterbeers over. "That's always where the 'Pies fall a bit short though isn't it really, they can never quite get their defence in order at the start of the game."
He took a swig of his drink and leant back in his chair more comfortably, before tilting his head and considering his companion with a smile. "How was your day anyway? Do anything interesting?" He frowned for a moment, recalling the conversation they'd had at their last practice. "Are you still reading that book on dragons?"
