Melinda nodded, happy to hear that Cho would join them, but also recognising that period of time she was describing. “Yeah, we’ve planned to use the two weeks people are sticking to their New Year’s resolutions to get some renovations done, both to the shop and to the personnel, but I think we could all use a day like that together.”
Falling quiet, Melinda looked down into her glass. Supposedly she did have everything she could dream of, except not much of it was what it appeared to be, at least not when looking at the details. “I think dating involves actually spending time with him or at least some sort of communication occurring, doesn’t it?” she asked, swallowed down and looked up at Cho, still not completely ready to just call it quits though reason was calling for her to do just that. “And mum’s retiring with dad after New Year, so I should figure out how much I should renovate and redo at the shop.” She shrugged. “No, they’re probably not problems, per se, but they do merit consideration and reflection, I think.”
