Marcus didn't laugh, though the temptation to chuckle was strong, if only at Blaise's blatant honesty on the subject. "Yeah, I doubt Pansy will ever let either of us not have her in our lives," he said instead, reflecting that that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He'd been pleasantly surprised by the number of people he was able to consider friends directly after Azkaban, back when he'd still jumped at loud noises or sudden movements.
There seemed to be something maudlin about Blaise this evening, and though obviously he didn't know why, he did feel a certain need to at least try and lighten the mood.
