"It was a little deliberate," Tristan confessed, slipping his hands into the pockets of his robe to keep from fidgeting uselessly. "I didn't want to hold up your class by coming to say hi before it, and, as you can see, I'm not at all dressed for it." He glanced down, moving his hands in his pockets to pull at the sides of his robe to indicate his outfit, then nodded a bit toward Vikesh's current attire, or partial lack thereof.
"But don't let me hold up your lunch!" he said with a smile, secretly hating how awkward he felt around Vee, around most people. "I was mostly just out running errands, and I thought I ought to come say hi if I got the days right," he explained, which wasn't entirely untrue. He had been out, and there were a few things he'd been doing, but they weren't all errands. Mostly, it'd been a rescheduled visit with his probation worker to work out a better time thanks to being hired at Wingbeat, something he still thought of as an oversight or lapse in judgement, though he had no plans to push the matters with his new boss.
"Uhm, so, hi," he said, with a little smile and a little wave, tucking his hand back in his pocket.
