Bryony and Open
Though she didn't have any work on display, Braith had insisted that Bryony come along to as much of the show as she could for the next few days. She hadn't said it outright, but Bryony had a suspicion that Braith thought she needed to get used to the idea of actually interacting with potential customers - and Bryony couldn't blame her. Though she was passionate about her work, talking about it to others still made her feel as if she were doing something wrong, calling too much attention to herself.
Tonight, her mother had had surprisingly little input into her robes and Bryony was dressed in simple black with small silver earrings and the ring Marcus had almost proposed with actually on her finger for once, rather than on a necklace tucked into her robes. She was skirting the crowd, letting the artists who actually had work on display talk to those customers who seemed interested - but of course they couldn't be everywhere at once. So after noticing the same person studying Yearning on two separate circuits of the room while Dean was talking to someone else, Bryony mustered up the courage to go and make herself useful. "It's lovely, isn't it?" she said, coming up to the side of the painting. "It makes me think of Christmas, even though it isn't explicitly a Christmas scene."
