Re: Genie's interview
"Oh, I know it's not," she assured him. "But I've had fun on both sides of it before, so there's no issue there." And dancing on breaks would be great at times, she was sure.
"I'm a quick learner. The money is the biggest thing, but I can practice that at home before I even start. Once I start, it'll all come pretty easy. And while I'd prefer the bar position, I'm honestly willing to do my bit where needed. I'm a bit of a jill of all things, so to speak, so I can do it. I'm also stronger than I look, should I need to get involved in breaking anything up." She knew the drill; she'd worked clubs before. She wouldn't be admitting that she was more than strong enough to keep a large grown man from doing stuff, as that would be admitting what she was and she wasn't prepared to do that.
"Oh, they're never last minute," she said with a head shake that made her curls bounce. "I'll always be able to tell you at least two weeks ahead of time. The only emergency that may ever come up is my housemate Brighid's baby, and honestly there's always someone who doesn't work nights available, so it'd have to be something really bad to keep me from coming in. Is two weeks enough lead time?" she asked. "I mean, I can definitely try for more." The only reason she didn't want to give him the next year's worth of trips was the fact it would make it way too easy to figure things out.
"In efforts of honesty, I also juggle multiple jobs, but if I were to get here, my weekends would be reserved for here." She needed an in in the wizarding world, and she really, really wanted a job in it. She hadn't realized the level of what she missed, after growing up in Hogsmeade, until she'd come back here. It wasn't the same, but it'd be nice to... find her way there again.
