Zacharias blushed slightly at the compliment, looking down at his bag, taking a second to lean down and make sure he had everything in there before straightening back up again, looking at the witch before him. "Yeah, I was," he replied, idly wondering if maybe she'd been sick the day he'd commentated a Quidditch match his fifth year or the day he'd reacted to Luna Lovegood's asinine commentary. He decided not to ask to find out, but he did add, "The Hufflepuff team for a couple years.
"And, thank you. You played well, too," he said, sincerity in his voice. He gave her a little smile, not at all sure what to do or say. He resisted the urge to fidget by quickly adding, "Congratulations on the win." Again, he was sincere, even if it would have been nice to win. But maybe it wasn't so bad to lose this time because there really wasn't anything at stake here, outside of his own pleasure and pride. And, despite the lose, he had had fun, and he felt good about what he had done.
