Neville use that time that Susan and Lavender were talking to focus and observe the crowd. He was looking for any kind of reaction, a tell or something. Maybe someone's nervous enough in there to look like they have something to hide. He scribbled a note to check up on both Seamus and Charlie Weasley to do a follow up. She was right, these two businesses were open late and his job was to investigate, not to play favorites. "Thank you for mentioning this."

He looked around and cocked his head to the side. "Please keep in mind though that it doesn't have to be a business opened late. I've seen knitting groups meet in yarn shops after closing time." Okay, the relation between these 2 were kind of the same, except that one was clearly more legal than the other.
