RP: Alicia and Adrian
Who: Alicia and Adrian
What: Distractions!
Where: Adrian’s flat
When: Saturday 15. November – late night
Rating: TBD

The distractions that had occurred so perfectly on Tuesday evening after Adrian’s journal entry had seemed to make the hectic days that followed seem almost unbearable. Fortunately this was Pride’s week off, so that had been one less thing to worry about, and with the twins at her parents’ this weekend, Alicia hadn’t hesitated in relocating to Adrian’s flat. He was still brewing and she had set up station in his sofa where she could work and still spend time with him. When it was time, she had either picked up food or cooked something light for both of them and then they had gone back to work and tonight had been no different.

Well, there had been something different, in that they had actually fallen asleep together, rather than him still working while she fell asleep to the sounds of him working. He had said something about the product needing to rest until morning or something along those lines, so when Alicia had woken up sometime later, alone, her first thoughts had been those of worry that something had happened, soon after followed by concerns for Adrian when she heard him working again. He needed rest, or at least a break, and wasting the chance of a full night’s rest was just not worth it.

Slipping into one of his shirts, Alicia padded on quiet feet out of the bedroom and found him right where she expected him to be: by his work bench. She checked to make sure that he wasn’t working with anything volatile, before she pressed a kiss between his shoulder blades and slipped a hand around his waist, while her free hand waved her wand at the Victrola she had brought over a while ago, setting the old record on it playing. Slowly, as the music began, she began swaying along, resting her cheek against his bare back.

Adrian sighed when he felt her press a kiss to his back and his neck craned back to lean his head against her. When the music started and she swayed against him, he let her movement move him and he stayed quiet for a moment.

Finally he lifted his head and looked down at his bench, making sure nothing would be disturbed or dangerous and turned in her arms, bending his knees just a bit to kiss her forehead. "I hope I didn't wake you?" He asked, his voice low, deep. His arms snaked around her and up under his t-shirt, his hands resting on her lower back.

For a long moment they just stood there. Alicia closed her eyes, slowly breathing in the warm smell of Adrian, though she opened her eyes to look up at him when he turned around. Blinking slowly, she smiled at his kiss, once again looking up at him as his hands found their way under the shirt. Her own hands caressed slowly against his warm skin until one was around his neck and the other reached for one of his and they were dancing slowly. “No,” she said softly, shaking her head, then thought about it and shrugged slightly. “You weren’t there.” There was no accusation in her voice, just a stating of fact with a small, warm smile.

“I thought you were done for the evening.”
