RP: After Game Celebrations
Who: Viktor, Alicia, members of the Quidditch teams Pride of Portree and Montrose Magpies, fans!

What: after game drinks

Where: Quidditch pub in Portree

When: Friday night, Nov 7 [BACKDATED]

Rating: SFW to start with at least.

The match hadn’t gone as well as Viktor could have wished. He knew he shouldn’t have cut down on a couple of practices the last two weeks, to give the team the holiday days they desired. Between Halloween and Guy Fawkes Day, something he did not understand at all except perhaps for the fireworks, some practices had only been at half attendance, though none of them had been completely cancelled.

It showed in this game. Viktor was disappointed but relieved that at least he’d managed to catch the Snitch after a long game to make it a tie. He felt this game more keenly than some of the previous ones, but it had been longer than usual and he’d been very busy not only constantly looking for the snitch but trying to mitigate the damage done by the other team. It made it entertaining for the spectators, he was sure, but it did take a toll after a while.

Afterwards he was tempted to skip the proposed idea everyone seemed keen on to go out for drinks with the other team, given that it was a tie, but in the end he decided to go ahead and attend. He had complimented those who warranted it (his Keeper and his Beaters) and glowered at those who didn’t, though at this point they already knew they were in for it next week.

So they headed out, Viktor determined to at least have a good time because he really wasn’t getting out much lately, between work and the kids.

“Molya*,” Alicia smiled back, drawing on the standard phrases she had learned from the Bulgarian player that had played for Pride up until last season. She took a sip from her drink right before Viktor seemed to recognise her – something that would have sent her heart aflutter when she had been in school, now… it happened, though it was still nice. Nodding as she swallowed, she chuckled softly. “I am, but please, Alicia will do just fine. Mrs. Fawley is…” her late husband’s mother, though technically she was too. Somehow the formal title just didn’t fit in a place like this tonight. “Alicia will do.”

Her smile brightened a little at his praise of the Pride. “It was. The Chaser line is really outdoing themselves this year,” she agreed, “though your defense didn’t make it too easy for them and, like I said, your catch was brilliant. So how are you liking the Magpies?”

*Molya = You’re welcome

"Alicia," Viktor conceded with a nod and a smile. But still, it was better to be safe than sorry, when it came to addressing people. Besides, his mother had long instilled manners in him. "Da, your Chasers are definitely very good," he said, having no problem with praising another team and their players, especially when it had been a very good game on the whole.

"Ve haff room for improvement," he said with genuine humility. Of course, he always thought there was room for improvement, but then that was the captain in him. He did possess a competitive streak, though it wasn't as severe as some people's.

"The Magpies are a great team, and they haff been very accepting of trying new things so far. I am thinking my Chasers are not so fond of me lately," he said with an almost amused quirk of his lips, "but that is part of being captain. But it is a good fit so far, and all good players who vork hard."
