Ernie wanted to get some tea going but first he wanted to make sure that Theodore was calm and settled. He tried to focus on his friend, checking his awareness of what was around him and his reaction to any stimulus. He couldn't help the healer in him coming to the fore, but he tried to temper it with the man who'd come to care for Theodore as a friend, and maybe more.
"It's all right, I'm glad you came." That was the moment the oven decided to ring to announce the brownies were done. He groaned then winced as Theodore's voice changed and started speaking in something that sounded slavic (he'd heard some of the languages spoken by the boys from Durmstrang, one in particular...). Shkole sounded familiar, something about school?
He quickly ran for the kitchen and opened the oven, pulling out the pan and placing it on the stove-top to cool. He shut the whole thing off, making sure the alarm was definitely over with, before returning to the sofa and sitting down this time.
"Theo, I'm sorry about that. There won't be anymore noise from the kitchen, I swear. What were you saying? I don't speak that language." Please, talk to me.
