Re: Dennis and Genie and Open
"Indonesia! We've never gone out of the country, so jealous," she said, but she grinned. They'd never afford it, besides, they knew their areas and preferred their own territory anyway. Though it was a nice thought. Maybe sometime, if they could ever finance a port key and a place to stay during the new moon time, maybe. "It's a chronic thing, that flares up sometimes," she said without lying, precisely. "We've seen Healers about it." And had to avoid some of them after, if they didn't outright leave.
"Alas, my loss," she told him, eyes lingering over his lean form for another moment as she sighed. Not that she should be thinking of that right now, but even this side of the moon it seemed like it was often on her mind. "I'll just sit and appreciate the view, then, and that of all those very handsome men as well," she told him cheekily.
"Ahh yes, it does," she said with a nod and a smile. She could definitely place him now. He'd been a lot shorter once. "I'm Genie de la Lune," she said automatically, the name ingrained in her after living with it so long. Her entire pack went by the amusing, to them, moniker. She slipped her hand into his, shaking firmly. Her touch was warm, perhaps a shade more than normal, and she did have some calluses on her hands from working often in the garden.
