My foster sister, of sorts," she said, chatting easily and amiably despite feeling like crap. She'd always been naturally gregarious and open. Her grin widened slightly as she looked him over, still leaned back in her chair. She peered at him playfully through her lashes; he certainly was a tall one. "You can butter me up anytime."
