Wayne internally startled when Justin said consider my offer. He'd thought Justin was just offering to be there for him, but they had talked about the idea of going out...

Bad idea. Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea.

"Let's take things one day at a time," he told Justin, still not sold on the idea of living with him. Sure, it cost him a fair bit (and the risk of arrest), but his schedule was as convenient as it was draining.

"But I'll think about it." OR, well...he'd try not to think about it in different contexts. One different context in particular.
