Ernie hoped he hadn't embarrassed Theodore by talking about his drawing, but he'd genuinely been interested. "Well, if you feel good doing it, then they can't be completely terrible. That's all that matters in the end." He tried offering an encouraging smile.
He'd hoped to have a chat about the book that Theodore had enjoyed enough to recommend, but for some reason, his date changed the subject. There must have been something in what Ernie had said that had affected Theodore, but he'd think on it later. Right now, they were here to relax and have fun and get to know each other better - it wasn't the time to be a healer or a counsellor. He let it slide.
"I can put colours together, if that counts," he said with a chuckle. "Never had any artistic talent per se, but I love to listen to music, and I'm a pretty good dancer, both when out with friends at a club as well as more proper dances likes the waltz, foxtrot, or rumba. I've been running the dance night at Finnigan's lately, or at least most nights. It's fun, and it takes me away from my worries for a while. Oh, and no talent talk can go by without mentioning I'm okay with a spade and watering charms - my Mum's the herbologist in the family, though. You should see her roses! And you? Anything other than art that you love?"
