Theo was hesitant on how to slip into the groove of being someone's date, having not gone on a date before. He spent a couple of minutes thinking over what he was told but he had to remind himself that he'd agreed to doing this and remember that the whole reason he agreed to doing this was because Ernie had made him feel safe. Ernie didn't mean anything by what he'd said and he smiled a little in response. "I couldn't."

He took a slight step back at the compliment though, never comfortable with being noticed and less so with any comments about how he looked. He reached up with his bad hand and pushed his ever-annoying hair out of his face back behind his ear where it immediately popped back into his face. "Uhm, thanks..." he mumbled, picking at the hem of his cloak. He gave Ernie a genuine smile though and came a little closer. "You look really nice. I like that shade of purple." He said, almost reaching out to touch it but pulling his hand back and aborting the movement. "Uhm, are you ready to go in?"
