It was always fun to push Percy a little past his comfort zone and no matter how old she got it would never get old. At least not for her. Taking a bite of her own apple, teeth cracking against the set caramel before she let out a hum of pleasure. This was something to be savoured more than sweets; good company and the man who was such a part of her life. “Do you think? I’ve been trying to tempt her into becoming a Weird Sisters fan. Everyone’s got to discover good music sometime and classical music whilst nice, isn’t half as much fun to dance around to.”
The sounds of Lucy heading towards the music section were unmistakable. The redheaded girl was tiny, smart and brought up feelings to the surface that made her wonder what it would be like if she had a child of her own. Would she be as good a parent as Percy; that dedicated and considerate?
“Should I ask how your week at works’ been? Have your colleagues been commenting on your sudden improvement in ties?” Oh there was innocence on her face but the truth of the matter was she was enjoying needling him.
