Dennis giggled at Rose's pout and lifted his hand in a conciliatory manner. "I'd never just randomly send bugs, don't worry," he said soothingly. "Jewellery and flowers, yes, but not bugs." He made a slight ooph noise as they both settled against him. "I do have very pretty eyes right," he rumbled contentedly in agreement.
He sat up and looked at them both in horror. "Have I actually not made either of you watch Dirty Dancing," he asked, utterly askance. "I have been deeply remiss to deprive you both of the sight of Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze doing the lift," he buried his face in his hands and pretended to cry noisily.
