Rolf grinned. Even though he hadn't always been able to make it home on the day of his friend's birthday, he'd always had something for them on the day. He'd always been big on birthdays and days of celebration; his parents weren't especially, but his first house elf and his siblings always had been, and his caring nature always made him make a deal out of someone's special day.
Rolf grabbed another parcel from off to the side and pulled it up, waiting until Dennis had opened Rose's gifts and looked them over first. Rose always found the best things, and he was as eager to see Dennis' reaction for them as he was for the things he'd found for him. The Vanishing Boxes were an absolute treasure, and he'd crowed along with her when she'd told him about them.
Then when it was his turn, he handed him the largish wrapped parcel that contained leather bag that Rolf had thought Dennis would be able to use for his work. There was a smaller package too, with a lion's head cloak pin. Both had screamed 'Dennis!' to him. "This is from Morroco, and I thought you'd like it." He'd been there briefly earlier in the year. The bag had been a more recent find but a happy one.
