Alicia quirked an eyebrow at Harry, amused, because she was rather familiar with that kind of accusations, except she hadn’t been the target of them, rather it was what she had been claiming about Adrian the past couple of years. And maybe she still did it. But only a little. Barely.
“Your idea, originally,” she chuckled and leaned forward, resting her elbows on the edge of the table as she rubbed her fingers against the palm of her hand, her smile fading slightly. “When you first mentioned it, I thought it would be a good idea, but it didn’t have to be right here and now, which was why I told you that I’d be interested to hear how things went. Unfortunately things have changed and though it’s only one boy at this point, he’s going to need a place to live when the school year ends.” She paused for a moment, her thoughts going to the fifth year boy who had been on her mind a lot the past month. “Preferably sooner than that, if it’s possible, but for now, he still has a legal guardian, at least. As for the idea I mentioned… have you considered using volunteer help for the remodelling, or would you prefer to do it yourself?”
