Journal Entry 01
I am used to writing long reports on parchment that are to be scrolled and sealed for court or letters to those I hold dear that find their way to them via post. There is something soothing in taking the time to write it all out and knowing that your words are going to be read by the proper recipients.

This feels different. As if I am being asked to bear my thoughts and beliefs to the world. Not that there is anything in particular that needs hidden. I simply want to take care that whatever I place on these pages serves to further the strides that have been made. It would be a shame if our open communication harmed the bridges the we have worked so hard to build.

Good to know you haven't changed, Granger. Still as sanctimonious and frigid as ever.

No, I don't think I will.

Then please, explain the purpose of insults that have nothing to do with what was written.

For fuck's sake Granger, this is exactly what I meant. These journals are fun. Stop sucking the life out of things.

Odd ideas of fun, insulting the musing of others.

No one asked you to spout off like a drunken philosophy student on the deep meaning of these stupid journals. It's a fun means of communication designed to appeal to the instant gratification of this generation. Nothing more than that.

Likewise, no one asked you to remind us all that you don't have a contemplative bone in your body.

I haven't even posted anything yet, so you're braver than I am!

But it makes sense, to sort of think of these as open networks and not private thoughts.

I've played around with using some charms and wards to make things private, I'm sure you're already brilliant at that.

Curiousity is a better word.

Yes, I've noticed quite a few individual using them for commercial gain. It will be interesting to see whether their profit margins increase because of the added communication.

Wards are definitely something we should all work toward mastering if these are to become fully effective.

Being curious is a good thing too!

I hope so! I'll see how talking about new products does in terms of getting the buzz out about them. Who knows, could increase profit!

I definitely agree there.

I see where you've taken advantage of the advertising capabilities. You'll have to let me know how it compares to your last special item effort.

I'll play with different levels of security and let you now how they work.

It does feel different, and I admit that I'm not entirely used to it either, in as much as I've yet to write anything personal in it (then again, I've never kept a diary), though I have written quite a few personal exchanges in it. That way, with the proper Charms and Wards, the journals are a quicker way of communicating with people than using Owls or the Floo system.

And it looks like they're great for the local businesses to advertise their products and services.

I'm thinking that you'd need to start with something small. A bit of information that you really don't care about. Especially since the wards have yet to be proven.

Time will tell.

Anytime you'd like to "bear my thoughts and beliefs to the world" - I'm a good listener, I swear.

Is that what you're calling it these days, McLaggen? Listening?

Last time I checked you were only a snippet of the world.

Yes, but I am a very good listener either way. Also, you'll notice I'm perfectly ignoring Parkinson, rising above and all that - growth, I think you would call it.

If I recall your listening is because you're too busy thinking about other things.

Ignoring Parkinson is a skill we've all honed over the years.
