Dora wondered at his voice. She wasn't sure if he missed her or if it was a symptom of his hating her. She let this part of thr conversation drop naturally, heart aching in a raw fashion. She ordered herself to breathe easily, which was harder.
She smiled and waved a hand, but her smile was just a little brittle under her glamor. She had a feeling he had no idea what had happened to her during the war, not that he had any inkling it was her. Her hearing aids suddenly ached, a reminder along with other, more subtle damage, somenof which only flared every now and again. "No worries. Still, my sympathies for your pain," she said quietly, genuine sympathy in her voice.
"I'm glad you caught him," she said, wishing she could get in and give him a dose of his own medicine. She'd do it, too, revenge for doing it to her family.
"I know. Doesn't keep some of your lot from lurking around and making threats to the charmers," she said a bit bluntly. Blood magics could get hinky, it was true, but wards weren't harmful unless you kept trying to break them. "But no, we'd be happy to include them for you. It will be easier that way."
She nodded. "Please do. We'll do our best to neutralize it for you. It'll likely be viewed as a challenge."
