"Oh aye," he agreed. "She was assigned as back up on a case that went nuclear - a dark wizard tried to get into a Muggle retirement home and torture and butcher the people there." He felt the beginnings of a snarl touch his face at the thought of not being in the thick of it, but an injury the previous day had left him on light duty until the end of the week.
He nodded absently in agreement. A lot of the Aurory came and got things charmed here, even if the presence of a former Death Eater - his sister - made some of their lips curled. It was just like Susan to ignore all that and not onl get a jewellery box from here but apparently make friends with his sister. In fact, since Pandora wasn't there he allowed himself to mentally compile a list of possible charmed items that he needed. He'd make Susan get them for him of course, payback and all that.
He chuckled at the way the ear laid back realistically. "It's very good really. Did Pa-" he stopped and cleared his throat. "Did one of the charms mistresses make it? I'd nearly attend a Hallowe'en Ball if the people that insisted on calling it Samhain pronounced it as correctly as you did," he added, pasting a smile back on his face.
"Well it looks fine to me," he said, looking at the black lacquered jewellery box with the disinterest of one not directly affected by it's existence. "I'll definitely tell her though." He paused and scratched his stubble for a second. "I don't suppose you have a moment to help me look for a couple of things," he asked with an apologetic smile. "I need a new dragonhide jacket with spelled pockets, a new wizards chest, and possibly someone to help me with a damn fake peacock that my house elf seems bent on keeping in my dining room no matter how many times I transfigure or de-charm the damn thing."
