Cho had spent what little time she had between journaling and his arrival trying to tidy up the front office. She sent the girls down to Melinda's shop for a long lunch and told them just to not come back until she let them know to. Luckily, other than making fun of her a little bit, they went without questions.
When he knocked she was in her office in the back and saw him entering just as she'd gone to answer the door. She gave him a small, somewhat tight-lipped smile, and then asked, "It's a holy Wednesday today?" Cho's Mum's family was Catholic, she thought, but they'd never really practiced anything in their household, her father being staunchly Atheist. And then, remembering her manners, she added, "And thank you, by the way, this is a nice surprise in a busy week." And even his note had been a nice surprise, but she wouldn't admit as much, yet at least.
