“I’d never make you wait like that on purpose.” Alicia struck a very subtle pose when Adrian looked her over. It felt good to dress like this for a change. Not that she didn’t normally dress up or nicely, but to not have to dress conservatively or appropriately and simply put on a dress that was made to be seen. Especially when it was seen with the appreciation that Adrian was showing.
“You know you don’t have to bring me dancing to get me to put on a dress like this,” she grinned, moving closer to him as the kiss deepened. As much as she would love to go dancing every weekend, she couldn’t and she didn’t miss it enough to even regret not being able to do it. She loved spending her evenings with Isla and Liam, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t appreciate getting out and letting go like she was tonight. Adrian’s kiss, though, almost had her change her mind, and suggest that instead of going inside they should just go back to his place. It was just down the street after all! “Let’s,” she said instead, smiling up at him and holding his gaze for just a moment longer, before she took his hand and went to the person allowing people in and out of the club.
Giving them their names, she was thrilled that Charlie had come through on such short notice and indeed had put their names down as his guests for the evening, though whether he was there or not, she didn’t know. Once they’d handed over their coats, they went further inside. Already the beat of the music was making it hard for her to stand completely still, even as she moved in close so Adrian could better hear her. “I don’t suppose I’m lucky enough that you taking me dancing tonight involves you dancing, too?” she asked, smiling as she brushed a kiss to his neck below his ear.
