RP: Lunch
Who: Susan and Seamus

What: Lunch, whether Seamus likes it or not

Where: Finnigan' Pub

When: Wednesday 15th of October, Lunchtime

Rating: SFW

Susan marched down Monument Alley with an expression of such extreme determination that a swathe of free space was continuously squeezed open in front of her. Admittedly, this collective regard for her personal space may have been due to the fact that she was wearing her Auror robes and heels that shot her above six foot, but she chose to ignore such trivialities. She reached Finnigan's pub and was nearly barrelled over by a clearly drunk man, who spent a moment looking at her boobs before his eyes flicked to her face, saw the expression there, and suddenly found a wave of unpleasant sobriety wash over him. She stood impassively as he stumbled through a number of apoligies before one of his less terrified friends dragged him out of the way.

She marched through the door and up to the bar and gave a brilliant smile. "Go and get Seamus, Please. Tell him he's having lunch with me," she said in a voice that brokered no argument. She watched them go and smiled, this conversation was far overdue.

Susan paused for a moment, pushing down the rather irrational urge to begin to laugh. The expression with which Seamus was looking at her rivaled a teenage boy at the very height of the neanderthalic grunting stage, and it filled her with a vast sense of poorly timed amusement. "Oh he didn't," she asked him, her tone the epitome of sweetness and accommodation. "My mistake, I must be thinking of a different Justin I know." She left off trying to console him anymore, it wasn't worth the time when he was in one of his black moods. Her new focus was on not blasting him into oblivion for being a prat.

She nodded thoughtfully. "You probably do. There's lots of folk who love Hallowe'en or Samhain or what ever it's called these days," she said with a nod to the people around them. "As for Dennis' birthday, well Rose and Dennis are both intelligent enough to get that attendance on Hallowe'en weekend would be rather lackluster, they'll probably do something the following weekend?"

Seamus didn't smile in response to her sweet tone - it was obvious from her words she didn't mean it, she was sticking to her flat wrong opinion that Justin had changed his schedule for Seamus. He knew from experience that arguing with Susan would get him nowhere. Most of the time he was able to let it go, but today he was feeling belligerent. "I think I'd know, rather than you. It's just sex, and he's not that desperate for it that he'd change his schedule for it." He was being blunt - and possibly a little unfair to Justin - but he didn't care.

"I guess we'll see." He pushed his food away, fingers itching to get his cards back out. Susan would notice, though, and Seamus was inclined to damn all aurors and their observational skills. There was really no graceful way out of this conversation, but Seamus was ready to be done with it. "I'd better get back to work."

Susan looked him directly in the eye and arched a brow in a manner that could only be described as a condescending - which was frankly quite impressive for an eyebrow quirk. "Do you really think so little of not just yourself, but also Justin," she finally asked.

She stood and walked around the table, where she pulled him in for a hug and kissed each cheek in turn. "You know you're one of my best friends and I love you dearly, right," she asked, patting his shoulder affectionately. "But if you keep pushing people away from you Seamus, they'll eventually stop coming back." She turned on her heel and walked out of the pub, shaking her head slightly as she went.
