"Hey!" Seamus said, affronted. "I didn't ask you to help for me. You'd already done as much studying as you could handle! You needed a distraction. Besides, didn't you get like 90% on that exam?" He settled into his chair, pulling out his deck of cards just so he'd have something to do with his hands. He was honestly surprised she hadn't mentioned Dean yet. Maybe he'd misread her. She did seem to have dropped all her hinting about the two of them... Maybe she'd finally decided Dean was better off with someone else. The idea made Seamus' stomach clench, but that was just because he didn't like things changing.
He tipped his head slightly, brows furrowed. "Why do you need anyone to pretend to be your partner?" he asked. He wasn't exactly familiar with buying property. He'd lived at home until he basically inherited the pub. Still, surely if Susan had enough money to buy a place on her own - which she did - she wouldn't need a fake boyfriend?
