Sauveterre-Longbottom Wedding!
So! Today Frank and Alice got married. Yaaay!
The wedding started exactly at 3pm at the Euphoria Catholic Church. The church was decorated in pinks, greens, and golds and the flowers were daisies. And it was awesome.
Right after the ceremony was dinner at the Starlight Ballroom on Diagon Alley. When people arrived, they found that the main ballroom was all decorated like this. There was an awesome dinner that had all sorts of good food - think chicken, salmon, or a vegetarion option and so on - and lots of wine and champagne to go around.
After dinner, the tables were pushed back and there was a dance floor. They had a DJ that played basically anything and everything that was requested - yes, Addie, that means ABBA. There was an open bar that offered more than just champage, but that was flowing pretty readily all around. The cake was out all night for snacking on as well as other little finger foods.
Onto other particulars!
For the guest list, you can see a bit of a run down here, but there were more than just those people invited - especially since people have since picked up characters. Basically, anyone that is in the Order, the DMLE, or friends with Alice from St. Mungo's was invited! If you're unsure, just ask Brandi or myself and we'll let you know.
The wedding party was made up of Benjy Fenwick as the Best Man and Andromeda Tonks as the Maid of Honor. Adelaide Banges, Gemma Macmillan, Dorcas Meadowes, and Felicity Banges (Alice's cousin) were the bridesmaids and Edgar Bones, Caradoc Dearborn, Gideon Prewett, and Ted Tonks were the groomsmen. The flower girl was Dora Tonks and the ring bearers were Henri & David Sauveterre (Alice's brothers).
As for clothes (v. important), the women wore this dress with the bridesmaids having a pale pink ribbon and Andromeda had the gold ribbon. The girls also carried a small bouquet of white daisies. The men wore dress robes that look like this (think of the jacket as being longer and the robe part) with this tie. Dora wore the same dress as the women, but in miniature and is a pale pink with a gold ribbon. The same goes for Alice's brothers, but with the green tie.
Frank wore the same robes as the rest of the men, but wore this tie. Alice wore this dress and had a bouquet of daisies. Alice's engagement ring looks like this (and was a ring ~passed down~ amongst the Longbottoms) and her wedding band looks like this. Frank's wedding band looks like this and is quite plain because he's a manly man. ;)
And, well, that's about it! If you have any questions at all, please let us know and we'll definitely clarify for you.
Otherwise - who all came? Who came with who? Did your character get completely tanked and need Augusta Longbottom to scold them? Or did they bow out early because they are lame? ;) Who was scandalous and went home with someone new? And, the question everyone is wondering, who danced with who??
