Lucia was in a wonderful mood, and glad that her sister was coming over. She hadn't seen her since the Masquerade the previous week, which was rather an unusual stretch of time for them, at least when so much was happening. She told Portia everything--even the things she knew Patrice would not approve of her sharing--and likewise liked to hear all about Portia's life as well. Though they perhaps hadn't gotten along as though ought to have as children, Lucia now believed that was what sisters were for.
Lucia was in the drawing room fiddling with the music charm she'd put on the piano. she'd never been quite as good at playing herself as she ought to have been, she knew, but she'd learned to charm musical instruments quite well, which she hoped made up for her lack of natural musical skill.
Satisfied, finally, with the music, she settled down and picked up her tea. Now she was simply waiting, somewhat impatiently, with her journal open next to her for her sister to show up or for Patrice to reply.
