Character A (yours) is an archaeologist working for a major, respected university. While his life hasn't been ideal, he's not unhappy with it. He lost his parents at a very young age, and was born with a bad leg that limits a lot of his mobility, which is frustrating at times, but he tries not to see it as a weakness. He has friends that support him and is semi-involved in a casual relationship with a (male) colleague, but it's not as serious as he would like. While he's a bit of a romantic, his dreams are more career-oriented, and aimed at restoring the integrity of his tarnished professional image.
