Short Bio: Demetrius was one of the three hundred Spartan soldiers facing the Persians at the Battle of Thermopylae. Though a brilliantly trained fighter, the group ended up surrounded by Persian forces. As Demetrius lay amongst his peers, fatally wounded and unable to reach for his own sword to end his life, a Persian vampiress found him admist the wreckage and turned him. For thousands of years, they travelled the world together until finally his Maker took another lover. Alone and heartbroken, Demetrius wanders from city to city, country to country to attempt his new eternity alone.

Short Bio: The youngest of eight daughters born to the king of a small, Norweigian clan, Vendela grew up as an adventurous and strong willed young girl, often rebelling against what was expected of her as a female and dreaming of exploring the sea with her father on one of his expeditions. Not content to tend to the hearth and homestead, she often spied on the various sailors and pirates that came to make port, wishing one of them would snatch her away from a future of arranged marriage and children for a life of adventure. Unfortunately, her wish came true in a way she hadn't realized. A warrior clan of Vikings raided the small town, slaughtering nearly everyone, man and woman alike, and burning their homes to the ground. One member of the attacking militia turned out to be a stowaway vampire and found the young princess hiding in the armory, weilding a sword nearly double her weight with the skill of any soldier. Finding himself charmed by her pluck, he captured her and brought her on the ship as his personal pet. After spending many years this way, Vendela took gravely ill, and her vampire turned her to spare her life. Soon after, Vendela escaped, and lived out the centuries as the wealthy, mysterious courtesan or lady of court in this or that town, always moving when suspicions or whispers began.

Short Bio: A werewolf and a veela. Quite possibly the most explosive, destructive and dangerous pair fate could have put together. Their love was fierce and brutal, possessive to a deadly extreme. Both with terrible tempers that turned each into a horrifying monster. It was only a matter of time before they killed each other. All the more tragic that it should happen when their child was so young.
After the violent death of his parents, Bane was sent to live with maternal grandparents, both half-blooded Veela, who lived the sophisticated life of old money in the French countryside. Bane was groomed from infancy to be a gentleman; well-learned in etiquette and manners, but also quick, cunning, and devastatingly intelligent. He played the games that were required of him as a member of upper society: being seen at all the right events, dating all the right daughters. But despite the glamour and privilege, it bored him. He craved something more than the shallow, to see what was beyond the gated chateaus and swanky Parisian parties.
It was not long into Bane's adolescence that he discovered he carried the wolf gene. His grandparents, shamed by this beastly aspect of Bane's inheritence, taught him utter control and secrecy. No one was to know of what he became when the moon was full. It was his private shame. To distract himself from the ache of his ignored instincts, he plays the young prince, the jet-setting playboy.

Short Bio: Both parents murdered at a young age, Grace Holleran went into foster care in the city. A bitter and rebellious child, she quickly fell into the street scene, ditching school to act as a lookout for local gangs, occassionally running drugs to the most dangerous parts of town. Taken under the wing of several of the city's most notorious criminals, Grace learned the buisness side of crime and the iron fist it took to climb the ranks. Soon the young girl went from lookout to getaway car to mole to hitwoman. She trained to have a surgeon's precision with a gun as well as daggers and switchblades, though her most dangerous weapon is her own body. Grace became a skilled fighter and bright cunning conwoman. Unfortunately, a boyfriend of hers introduced her to heroin and she soon found herself murdering and turning tricks for the next fix, instead of paving her path to glory. One long night, Grace found herself at the wrong end of an overdose, seizing and vomiting on a stained mattress in an abandoned warehouse, sure she was about to die. In her final moments, a demon came to her and offered her a second chance at life, if Grace would become a take on an occupation far more evil and dastardly: a lawyer at the world's foremost supernatural law firm, Devine and Branch.
