[17 Apr 2009|01:10am]
Hi! I'm Dee and posting on behalf of a new game [info]mcmxcixrpg (1999) that is set to open on April 20, 2009. It's going to pick up just as Hogwarts has finished up and the Class of 1999 (Ginny Weasley's year) have graduated and prepare to move out into the world. The plot of this game is entirely up to those of us who are a part of it, and so far its shaping up to be a great group!

However, we're looking for a few people in particular. We need HARRY to finish out the trio, DRACO to stir up a bit of trouble, and some OLDER CHARACTERS. We're a bit short on Slytherins and Hufflepuffs to balance out the numbers as well.

Some other people who would be welcomed: Angelina Johnson, Oliver Wood, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, Morag MacDougal, Susan Bones, Stephen Cornfoot, Blaise Zabini, Millicent Bulstrode, Zacharias Smith, and Ernie Macmillian.

There are other spots open as well, and you can check those out/read more about the game at [info]mcmxcixmod.

Searching for Characters! [17 Apr 2009|04:03pm]
Hi everyone! I'm Jess, one of the mods at [info]charing_cross and we're searching for a few important characters. We recently lost several characters to an activity sweep, and we'd love to see them along with several others in game.

DRACO MALFOY -- Your parole officer Ron Weasley is searching for you and would like you to know you're being fined 500 Galleons for every week you're not in play. So come now, before you're poorer than a Weasley!

ANTHONY GOLDSTEIN-- Your best mate Terry has some important information to share, except he can't because you've run off to join a Coven or something!

PARVATI PATIL -- Dean, Seamus and Lavender request your presence soon!

LUNA LOVEGOOD -- The game just isn't as zany as it could be, and really needs that Lovegood touch.

Charing Cross is unique in terms of the RPGs we've seen. Instead of having no overall plot or a complicated long-running plot that almost never comes to fruition, Charing Cross likes to focus on character and world building. We do this by throwing out a game-wide plot once a month that the characters can then react to and go about their daily business. For example, in February we had a Masked Valentine's Day Ball which was the foundation for several character relationships in game. In March there was a Charms accident that had boys running around as girls and girls running around as boys for several weeks, and all the drama and awkward moments that accident created. Currently, Diagon Alley has become the victim of a string of robberies, all of which will culminate at the end of the month at a Charity Auction, so there is immediate plot for anyone who would like it!

Charing Cross has a small group of dedicated, talented and creative writers who are hopeful for new friends. We're looking for equally dedicated and creative writers who want to experience a slightly different RPG experience. The mods are friendly and easy-going and encourage player input into everything. We're looking for players who bring something slightly different to the table as well, with fresh, exciting characters. There are plenty of interactive experiences just waiting to happen, so give us a chance and we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
