"Okay." Lavender nodded at his insistence that she relax and enjoy herself and so she turned slightly to thank the waiter before removing her hand from his to take her glass. Normally Lavender didn't bother with red wine. It was something her mum drank on occasion and the few times she had tried it she found it too tarty and rich for her liking.
Not that she was going to tell Rhad that. He wanted to know more about her and that was something she could afford to leave out, so instead she took a breath before continuing.
"That's a very open question," She admitted with a grin, fingers playing with the stem of her glass. "especially considering I don't know what you already know about me. You know where I work I suppose- at fifty four and the shop? Mum owns The Secret Garden. It's not been open for long, just a few months, but it's nice working there and it's doing well. Erm," Lavender had never thought of having to tell somebody about herself so plainly before and she was quickly learning how very strange it felt. "I live at fifty four too. I don't know whether I mentioned that. I actually had an offer of a job at the Daily Prophet once I finished my NEWTS as well- dad is Assistant Editor- but I'm not much for paperwork, words or fact checking. I'd rather get my hands dirty, I love getting to create something out of nothing- art, clothes, jewelry." She smiled sheepishly then, realising she was beginning to ramble.
"What do you like doing? You're going to be managing Pansy's shop aren't you?" She asked, lifting her glass to her lips again and trying her hardest not to wince at the taste.
