"Well, my mom always said I looked just like my dad, so I guess the Boot genes are strong ones," Terry said, the old pain coming back just for a moment. His parents would have loved Ben, his dad especially, and it hurt that they'd never get a chance to know him. They had Penny's parents though, who were the best grandparents Ben could ask for.
He passed Ben over to Penny, and they walked through the netted curtains. It was humid in the greenhouse, and Terry could feel the way his hair just puffed out. It was mirrored in Ben's, and he couldn't help but grin. Clone indeed.
"I see it!" Terry moved close to them, and snickered as Ben tried to poke the butterfly. The insect was quick, and flitted away before any harm was done. "Oh, Ben, look! Blue butterfly." Terry pointed at the blue butterflies that were circling a bright red flower. Ben giggled, and reached his hand out towards them.
