Who: Amelia and OPEN What: Wandering in Diagon Where: Diagon Alley When: Friday afternoon
Amelia tended to arrange her schedule so that she only worked half-days on Fridays. It was just nice, to start the weekend a bit early, especially this time of year. She loved Christmas, and after quickly changing out of her work clothes, she headed out to do some Christmas shopping. She had already gotten her father and brother taken care of, as well as Jewllian. Daphne would be a bit harder, not to mention a few of her other friends.
This would be the first time in five years that she wasn't buying a gift for Mikael as well. A frown pulled at her lips as she cradled a hot chocolate in her hands as she looked through a shop window. She'd been doing alright, not thinking about Mikael or letting loneliness get to her. He didn't deserve any lingering thoughts after how he treated her.
Amelia let out a soft sigh and tugged one side of her hat down a bit more to cover her ear. Right, Christmas shopping. That was what she needed to focus on. Maybe later tonight she would bake some bread or something and drop it off to people in the building. Maybe Draco this time, since she had just cooked for Jewllian. Or Daphne and her new husband. Anything to get her mind off...everything else.
She walked to the next shop, taking a sip of her drink as she considered the holiday display. She thought she was standing close enough to the window that she was out of the way, but she felt someone bump into her nonetheless, and reached a hand out to steady herself, dropping her hot chocolate in the process. There was brief flash of annoyance, though it didn't show on her face as she turned to the person. "Are you alright?"
