Lavender rolled her eyes when Ronnie started to go on about consent and free will. If she'd been lectured about the difference once then she'd heard it all a dozen times. "You think you're the first person to tell me that? Not that it's any of your business." She added, distaste written all over her features at how Ronnie shook her head
She wrapped around her own glass then, it having been set down in front of her just moments before. She didn't take a sip though, instead she reluctantly listened, her eyes down and focused on the bubbles popping on the surface of her drink. She even stayed quiet for a moment after Ronnie asked her question and by the time she spoke again she'd lifted her glass and had already turned to move away.
"You make me feel sad, Ronnie- 'on your level?. I have no idea why you think you're better than me! You work in a bookshop! You're always miserable and don't think I didn't notice that you didn't answer my original question, that it got your hackles up instead!"
