Who: Regulus and Sirius What: Cleaning out Grimmauld Place When: Tuesday night Where: Grimmauld Place Warnings: TBA Status: Threaded; incomplete
Grimmauld Place might have always been his home, but it was entirely different to think of it as his house. And after the war had ended, it had become one of his time-consuming projects. The house had always been blatantly his parents'. But now, Regulus was trying to reclaim it in a way. It had first started with moving into what had been their bedroom. He had woken up one morning and realized that there was no reason that he should be sleeping in the smallest bedroom in the house when the master bedroom was available.
After that, he had started going through the house one room at a time. It was filled with artifacts and objects that went back decades. Regulus had no idea how old some of the things were; they had plenty of things that were stamped with the Black family crest. There were plenty of items that looked as if they had been used for the darkest of magic. There were plenty of times when Regulus simply had no idea what he was looking, and plenty of times when he knew well enough to be careful.
He was pleased with how things were starting to look. There was no mistaking that it was still the ancestral house of the Black family, but it also looked more modern; it no longer looked like a crypt.
However, there had been one room he had been purposefully avoiding. He had left Sirius' room until practically last, because he simply didn't know what to do with Sirius' room. His mother had, after Sirius' initial departure, largely left the room alone. However, Regulus knew there were plenty of things in there that were still his brother's. He had gone in briefly, taken a look around, and then figured it was just best to owl his brother. Let Sirius sort out what to do with the room.
