[XOver] Tetris
Title: Tetris Author: Trio Maxwell-Chang Fandom: Weiß Kreuz and Dynasty Warriors (Multiverse Haven) Pairing or POV: Ken + Lu Xun Written for: Junyi Special Note: Happy birthday, Junyi! Just a couple of days early...
It had started as a joke - a dubious, off-color remark that both men felt the need to follow through on. Because while it was a joke, it was also a challenge, and they were nothing if not competitive. Admittedly, there wasn't a great deal of pleasure in being the ranking Tetris king in a crowd of two, but it was something, and certainly better than being the loser. Especially given that they were playing at Ken's place, and Atobe could walk in at any given moment and find them rather... less clothed than they'd prefer.
It stood at an even 4 games to 4, and they sat wearing underwear only - for Xun, boxers with little flaming chili peppers on them and for Ken, plain white briefs. The rest of their clothes were in two piles beside them. "Tell me how you convinced me to do this again?" Ken demanded, his eyes never leaving the screen as he herded a square into a corner. He would've crowed, but the next piece was one of the jagged ones that screwed everything up.
"You're the one who suggested we 'make it more interesting!'" Xun pointed out impatiently, hissing as he missed where he'd been aiming by a space. It had taken him three games to get used to the controller and the idea that he could have some outcome on something seen on a television. But his comeback had been brutal.
"You came up with the idea of betting clothes!" Ken returned, snorting. He spared a moment to be grateful that Xun's eyes were just as occupied as his - otherwise, the man might've seen his blush. The moent was short-lived, however, as he set his piece down to create yet another open space. "Dammit!"
"You're the one who declared 'first one naked is the loser!'" Xun shot back, eyes glittering. The hissed curse implied advantage, and that meant that the battle was his. He could do this. All it took was turning that long piece on its side and moving it... there! Three lines disappeared, giving him a tiny bit of room to breathe.
"You agreed," Ken said, knowing his argument was weak - possibly as weak as his tetris skills. Next time, it'd be a football game. And next time, they'd bet money. Or at least, they would NOT bet clothing. Especially when... "DAMMIT!" ...it was time for him to pay up.
