Hiya
I don't usually lurk so long. To be honest I've been suffering an acute case of writer's block that is finally starting to lift. So let's get down to what you really want: A nice, fat contribition. XD
Anyway, I'm sure this will all sound very familar: Currently I am mostly working on a drabble project revolving around theme prompts. In fact, my list of themes was complied by Sterling. Anyway, for furthur details, check my my journal. Becuase I've been dragging my feet on this (so lazy!), I bring much to the table.

# 35 Perfect
[word count: 425]
It occurred to Rufus that he’d never seen
Anyway, Rufus found his lazy elegance part of
Unfortunately, times had changed and the individual members of the Turks were not so specialized anymore. With Tseng and Elena assigned elsewhere, Rufus was relying on
Rufus heard the bedroom door open followed by
“Normally it wouldn’t be a problem but I won’t be representing Shinra during this meeting,” Rufus explained as he rose from the living room couch and began to move down the hallway. He noticed with some disappointment that the bedroom door was only open a crack. “When it comes to WRO, I am merely a benefactor.”
Rufus chuckled softly. It was a bit of an exaggeration to say the very least, but he appreciated
“Yeah, yeah,”
When he finally stepped into the hallway, Rufus had a moment in which he forgot to breathe. With his suit well-pressed and impeccably tailored, Rufus had never seen him look so beautiful. His hair was still wildly rebellious and his bangs dangled in his eyes without the shades to keep them at bay.
He pressed him against the nearest wall and kissed him hard. It excited him that
“I take it I clean up well enough,”
“Hm,” Rufus intoned softly, wishing they had a little bit of time. Ironically, all he could think about was getting him out of his clothes. “You look perfect.”
#9 Surprise

Rufus eyed the silk scarves warily.
“Absolutely not,” He shook his head vigorously.
“No,” Rufus replied stubbornly.
“Well why the hell not?”
Rufus chewed his lower lip and tried to think of a good reason why he shouldn’t let
It bothered him that he was even considering such a thing. Rufus trusted
“In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m not exactly the submissive type,” Rufus told him coolly, wondering if the excuse sounded as lame to
“Geez, you’d think I’d come at you wearing a leather hood and brandishing a whip,”
“So why bother at all?”
“Um, because it’s fun?”
Rufus couldn’t help but smile slightly at that. Maybe he was taking this a little too seriously. After all, they were behind closed doors and no one else would ever know. Perhaps he was just a little bit afraid that he might surprise himself and end up liking it.
“Okay,” Rufus sighed softly, “but if I tell you to untie me you will do so without hesitation, is that understood?”
# 23 Tryst
[word count: 278]
Footsteps echoed on wood but
Fingers brushed his long ponytail over one shoulder and lightly caressed the nape of his neck. As he closed his eyes,
Like this time….
The silence was broken when Rufus pressed his face against the side of
“Ru,” He murmured.
His heart was pounding as he turned in Rufus’s embrace. It hit
“Should I even ask how you managed to get out here?”
“Does it matter?” Rufus replied quietly.
“Not really,”
#17 Repress
[word count: 506]
It was three o’clock in the morning when the phone rang. Rufus groaned softly and turned in bed with restless annoyance. He didn’t want to answer it but he couldn’t just let it ring. The call could be important…or it might be
Rufus smiled slightly at the thought.
He sat up languidly and reached for the phone.
“Hello,” He answered informally.
“I’m sorry to be calling so late,” Tseng’s voice replied.
Rufus frowned and raked his fingers through his hair anxiously. Tseng never called him unless it was urgent. “It’s fine. What’s going on?”
“
Rufus felt as though someone had hit him hard enough to knock the breath from his lungs. He swallowed hard and tried to remember how to speak calmly. “How…how is he?”
“He’ll live,” Tseng replied with gentle compassion, “It’s nothing that he hasn’t dealt with before, but I thought that you should be the first to know considering your…fondness for
“Thank you,” Rufus murmured. His throat felt tight and he tried to clear it. Rufus could still only speak in a voice hoarse with emotions he tried so hard to repress. “Where has he been hospitalized?”
“Junon. I’m sorry we couldn’t bring him back to Midgar in his condition.”
“I thought you said it was nothing serious,” The anger edging Rufus’s tone made his voice strong and clear.
“His injuries were not fatal, but that doesn’t mean he was safe to travel long distances,” Tseng explained calmly.
Rufus exhaled a long, slow sigh. Getting mad at Tseng wouldn’t do him any good. He only wished he knew who was responsible for hurting his lover. Rufus was aware that he would not get this information from Tseng, who knew his sense of vengeance all too well. “Thank you, Tseng. I greatly appreciate this. Will you promise me one thing?”
“What is it that you want?”
“When
“Understood. Good night, sir.”
Rufus couldn’t listen to his pleasantries right now and just hung up the phone. He was a wreak and he didn’t even know why. During the span of knowing him,
He covered his face in his hands and heaved a shuddering sigh. What had changed? Rufus knew that
When he pulled his hands away from his face, he noticed with detached fascination that his palms were damp. Tentatively, he touched one of his cheeks and found that it was slick with tears.
“Oh god,” Rufus breathed.
I’m in love with him, He finished the thought deep within the privacy of his mind.

#24 Elevator
[word count: 604]
Rufus was scowling as they waited for the elevator to arrive.
“I cannot believe the best security I could get for this building was an automated alarm system that will alert me should an intrusion occur,” Rufus groused. “Any amount of property damage could be sustained before I get the break-in properly investigated.”
Rufus snorted derisively, “Yes, I suppose that’s something.”
As the new headquarters for the company, the diminutive skyscraper was a far cry from the monolithic tower that had once been at the heart of Midgar. Still, it was nice to be based in a big city once more. He only wished Rufus could share his contentment. While he seemed happy to be able to bring the company into a more public domain, its sorry state of affairs frustrated him.
He wanted to cheer his lover up and as the doors to the elevator slid open,
“What the hell are you doing?” Rufus demanded.
Rufus’s disgruntled expression didn’t change much as he arched an eyebrow skeptically. “What?” He asked rather snappishly.
“There’s no one around to watch the cameras,”
“I fail to see how that’s such a great—“
“I think…that I’m beginning to see your point,” Rufus breathed against
“Don’t worry,”
Rufus chuckled, “Really? What will you say when Tseng notices it missing?”
“Oh I don’t know,”
“How devious of you,” Rufus smirked.
“You love it,”

Rufus suppressed a moan as
His body was overheated and hypersensitive. He knew that he was close to release, but he almost dreaded it. This anticipation was just too exquisite for words.
When

“Let go,”
Rufus clung to him as he shivered. It was easy to surrender to
