The Prince frowned. As a servant Sora was surprised that Riku didn't understand depression. Then again, as a servant, that was your life. Maybe you didn't have time for things like seasonal depression?
Sora sat down, and wasn't even sure where to begin. Just that...now he worried that Riku wouldn't understand him come the winter and would be frustrated, either at Sora, or at himself for not being able to fix Sora. "I am not entirely sure how to explain it." He said quietly, looking up at his horse like he would help him at all.
"Please do not take this the wrong way but...your being in my life this winter will not suddenly make me well." Oh for SURE it was going to help. A lot. But...Sora didn't want to promise something that he couldn't deliver. He brought his knees up to his chest. "I have barely known you a year and although you have helped me see a light in me that I had lost....that does not mean the darkness is gone."
The Prince reached for Riku's sleeve to hold onto. "The winter is cold, and dark, and long, and my heart is not strong against sadness, and tired days, and dark nights, and terrible nightmares, even with you by my side."
