The hesitation made Sora smile, whether he was nervous or not sure if his family approved, the Prince didn't know. "Would if be better if I join you a week later?" Following him home might worry the family too much, and he assumed Abe would want to spend a few weeks at home before returning. He looked at Riku for confirmation. Good idea right? "We will do that instead." They'd work it out before Abe left, he'd send a messenger a day ahead just in case too.
The Prince didn't really think that Abe would say no...but part of him did. Part of him thought there was no way that Abe would want to stick around him, having to serve him. But...that wasn't him anymore. Right? So he tried not to sigh with relief when he said yes, and tried not to smile too big. "Good! We can talk about your position and education when you return, no need to worry over it yet." He should just relax at home, after all it would be the last time he would live there. Of course he'd return for visits once or twice a year especially while he was still young but, this was a big commitment for a young man. It wasn't like the ladies who could come and go as they please.
"Certainly," Roxas replied. "It was an odd thing at first, a little strange to watch but our Prince, my cousin, was very ah..." you can't talk shit about the Prince even if you are his cousin and know he's dumb. "Well, Sora has come out of the winter, as he would say."
Really he was married and all? "Oh, I see," Roxas replied. "Well, I am sure that you and your family would be welcome to visit at any time. I hope that you would attend the wedding? Whenever that may be." Otherwise, they would really need to start home within the next few weeks before the snow started in the mountains.
