Simon's eyes widened a little, impressed. His baby brother did? Abe?
"I..." Abe looked from the Prince to his brother. Was it okay to invite the Prince over? "I want to see my family," he sad honestly, "It would be an honor to show you my home, Your Majesty." He'd have to write to his father immediately though, to get their home ready. It might be a lot of pressure on his father, but he really, really wanted the Prince to come to his home.
(And of COURSE Riku wanted to go! He liked Abe too, and was very glad that his family had survived the war)
As for staying on.... Abe looked a long time at the Prince, and then Riku, who smiled back encouraging. Then he looked back at his brother. He could go home, go back to being a half-grown child, being taken care of, and having little expected of him. Or he could stay, have much demanded of him, and expected of him, but also make people proud, make people be able to depend on him. He straightened up, trying to look as tall as possible. "Your Magesty, my father may have begged you to take me into your care, but I hope that I have earned not only your respect, but your confidence. Nothing would please, or honor me more, Your Magesty, than to remain in your service until that point when it is no longer necessary." Basically, the death of one of them.
Corin looked from Roxas to Hayner, lurking behind the young Lord, but definetly paying attention. "You have watched then," Corin said slowly, "Their relationship grow." And, more importantly, HAYNER then, had watched everything. Maybe he was the one to wrestle information out of.
No, no, he couldn't feel like that. He knew that the Prince loved his little brother. He needed to STOP being so suspicious of him. So, Corin took a deep breath, and smiled. "I am glad that they have had your knowledge of their relationship," and hopefully, his support, "I... wish to return home soon," Corin confessed. "I have a wife and child that I am anxious to return to."
