Philip had the other guards, ones who had stayed back at the keep, send word down the line that they were picking up the pace and that they were almost home. It was sure to send some cheers through the ranks.
"Dear Sister," Corin said regretfully, "I must return to my flight, but..." he glanced back and forth and Wilbur moved closer.
"Miss? Would you ride with me?" She might be a servant, but she was the Prince's Beloved's sister. She should not walk if she was supposed to keep up with the rest of the mounted royals.

Honestly, Abe had been having nightmares about coming back to find his family dead. All of them, just gone while he was away.
