It was really good at Sora had Riku. He had zeroed in on Lord Collville and didn't notice the other people in the room right now, listening or not.
Sora gave Riku a look that said '...are you joking, darling?' "Riku, I know that." He picked the council! Of course he knew who was on it! And all their names too! But he did wrap his arm further around Riku's letting him know he wasn't bothered by it.
"I am grateful for your support, Lord Collville. How are things going for your cousin?"
Lord Collville and Lord Moore exchanged glances. "Your Majesty, would you like to have a seat?" The couch was basically empty and he didn't have to stand around while they chatted. Sora hadn't even thought about sitting down, but okay. He took a seat on the edge of the couch, too interested to get comfortable right now. Lord Collville pulled up a chair. "I am the one that is grateful, Your Majesty. My cousin, Jameson, had been close to his husband since childhood. He didn't seem as interested in the girls while we were growing up, preferred to spend his time with Marcus instead. Knowing that he could marry his best friend, his closest companion, and to not be separated for each other, oh Your Majesty. They are happy together."
"I'd like to meet them!" the Prince exclaimed. Lord Moore tried not to laugh at his enthusiasm. It was just NOT what he had been expecting. "Was the union otherwise advantageous?" He liked to hear the report on that as well.
Lord Collville nodded. "Marcus' Father has been ill of late. His eldest sister did not want to inherit their land, and Jameson is a business man, so he is there to help Marcus manage the plantation though he is young." Yeah...did he mention that Marcus was only 17 and Jameson 20? Did that matter TOO much? The age gap for ladies was often even more vast anyway.
