Sora would have placed his hand over Riku's on his arm but it was in a sling. So he just walked close with him instead, winding through the garden on their way out.
"You are still very much the man who told me I needed a babysitter," Sora teased. Much of Riku was still there, though he had changed. The poet, the dreamer, the storyteller, the gentle heart, the bratty tongue. It was all there. Now there was just...even MORE to Riku than there was before. "I know that there is much Riku that I still do not know about. I am so excited to learn."
He had changed a lot, too. Not in ways like Riku had, learning and acquiring, but in quiet ways gotten much stronger. "Last year I was a lonely child," Sora said quietly. "This year I am a Prince."
The castle doors were visible just over the hedge. It wasn't too cold outside but that short nap was beginning to sound better and better. "I do hope they like me..." he was going to be thinking about it all night!
