The Prince's frown just drooped lower. He had been so overwhelmed and occupied with coming home to his parents he hadn't stopped at all to think about what it would mean for Riku. That he might be ignored and alone not only for hours but days. There were perks to being in charge including making the decisions. Not only was he used to, and did he want to have Riku a constant part of his life, Riku's role publicly had drastically changed while he was at the keep. Before, the noble ladies and soldiers did not really know of him at all. Now they had all become acquainted with him. To put him back in the role he was before was going to be confusing for them and damaging for Riku.
Sora had been quiet for a while, thinking about this, and feeling awful that he hadn't managed to make some plans with Riku before this. "Mother I will not be the only one accustomed to it." He said quietly. He had never thought of it but, he was a little afraid he would be in trouble by his Father for how he'd lived at the keep. "I am not the same boy that left this castle, Mama. Neither is Riku and our people are not the same people. I...really did not think about how it will effect us all." He was sure the men here and his Father were expecting back the very people that left. In reality, many of the noble ladies had been changed by the experience. (Of course many were the same snobbish women as before, but still.)
The Prince sighed and sunk back down in the bed. "Why must Father be so hard to speak to?" He didn't want to have to tell him all about it.
