Sora sighed. Riku was SO wonderful. Sora was very fully aware of what he wanted and likely how much he really, really wanted it. Yet he was so obedient, so patient, and focused on Sora's needs instead.
"I love you," Sora told him before he put the cheese in his mouth. Mmmmm. He was actually kind of hungry.
"I never thought I might hate being on a horse so much," he complained between bites. He so badly did not want to get back on and ride for hours. What if Riku had to carry him into the castle because he was in too much pain? That was going to be SO undignified for a Prince's return. He was going to tell the guards that he didn't want to come in the front door of the city where everyone could see. It was the goal to get home before it was too terribly dark. He would have loved to come back in a glorious fashion, leading the people back into Hollow Bastion.
Sora sighed, disappointed about it. He did feel like he fought very hard, and with the Generals, did a good job leading everyone, through the entire time they were at the keep and while in battle. He was still very nervous what his Father, who had just won an entire war, was going to think of him coming back a mess. In some ways he still felt ashamed.
